First weekend of August

First weekend of August is upon us. And yes, the racing drought continues while the rain has not.

Saturday agenda-race?

Here's what I found for the first Saturday:

1. Spartan race WA
2. biggest loser off road WA
3. workman warriors 5k
4. la roootaaa regatta
5. kid heroes 5k

You can automatically rule out the first 2 (out of FL). I passed on #4 (cycling). The latter was closest in proximity, so it was chosen. Let me break it down clint eastwood style:

The good: top ten and age group
The bad: weather (humid and rain), time
The ugly: the entry fee, personally, I hate the location

I got caught in the rain before and during the run. The bridge was slippery along with painted parts of streets, affecting me time. What was good was pancake breakfast available.

Sunday agenda-race?

Here's what I found for the first Sunday:

1. rnr Dublin half
2. biggest loser 5k IL
3. boone gran fondo NC

You can automatically rule out the first 3 (out of FL/US). Uh oh! No races remaining, so I did a long overdue long training run.
